How Our Breathable Vents Work

The core of our vent plug is a microporous ePTFE membrane. Its unique structure contains millions of tiny pores, large enough to allow air and vapor molecules to pass through freely, but thousands of times smaller than a water droplet. This enables continuous pressure equalization while providing an impenetrable barrier against liquids and particulates.

How do I choose the correct thread size for a plug or vent?

You should match the thread size of the plug or vent to the size of the unused entry hole in your enclosure. Our accessories are available in standard Metric (M) and PG thread sizes. Please refer to the specifications of your enclosure or measure the diameter of the entry hole to ensure a correct fit.
