Q: Hoe kies ik tussen een enkelvoudige en dubbele Ex-wartel voor gepantserde kabel?

Een enkelvoudige pakkingring (zoals onze Ex-VIIIG) biedt een robuuste omgevingsafdichting op de buitenmantel van de kabel en is geschikt voor de meeste toepassingen. Een dubbele afdichtingswartel (zoals onze Ex-VIIG) biedt een extra drukvaste afdichting op de binnenste bedding van de kabel. Deze 'zondvloedbestendige' afdichting biedt een hogere integriteit en wordt vaak gespecificeerd voor de meest kritische toepassingen of waar regelgeving dit vereist, met name in offshore-omgevingen.

In omgevingen met constante zoutnevel en vocht is corrosie de grootste vijand. Onze Wartels AISI 316L bieden maximale weerstand tegen zout water en chloorcorrosie en zorgen voor langdurige verbindingsintegriteit voor kritieke systemen op schepen, booreilanden en kustinstallaties.

Olie, gas en chemie

Veiligheid is niet-onderhandelbaar. Voor explosieve omgevingen zijn onze ATEX/IECEx gecertificeerde Ex d wartels in SS316L zijn de definitieve keuze. Ze zorgen voor insluiting en voorkomen ontsteking en bieden robuuste verbindingen die voldoen aan de voorschriften in raffinaderijen, chemische verwerkingsfabrieken en andere gevaarlijke zones 1/2.

Voedingsmiddelen & farmaceutica

Waar netheid van het grootste belang is, zijn onze hygiënisch ontwerp wartels uitmuntend. Gemaakt van SS316L met gladde, spleetvrije oppervlakken en een IP69K-classificatie, zijn ze bestand tegen wassen onder hoge druk en hoge temperaturen en voorkomen ze bacteriegroei, zodat ze voldoen aan de strengste normen voor voedselveiligheid.
